Reading Luke 18 to the kids…

Mindy: “I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
Paige (5): That’s my Jesus!

Thomas, Apparently, Rides Again

July 22, 2008 · 1 Comment

You may have heard about the train derailment at the I-84/I-205 interchange a few weeks ago.  Well, that happened a block away from our house.  Our neighbors were interviewed on TV.  They thought it was an earthquake.

It was just me and Joshua (2 1/2) playing when he stopped to listen a train coming by…

Joshua (gasping):  Choo-choo all better!

Camp Song Or Not A Camp Song?

Baby shark | Mama shark | Daddy shark | Grandma shark | Grandpa shark
Gone for a swim | Saw a shark | Swam away | Swimming fast | Shark attack
Lost an arm | Lost a leg | CPR | It’s not working | It’s too late | Gone to heaven

Camp song.

Yeah.

Apparently the accompanying elementary school choreography takes the edge off.

Mia’s Loot

July 14, 2008 · 1 Comment

Makaena received several letters and two care packages when she was away at camp.  One care package came from my mom and the other came from my sis who, by the way, digs camp.  And she knows how to hook a camper up.

Ian:  Mia.  Did anybody get more mail than you?
Makaena:  Oh man.  I was popular.
