Malaria is known as “a plague of the poor” and I confess that I wouldn’t know much about the devastating consequences of the disease if I hadn’t started working for Compassion. We’re hosting a Malaria Intervention Webcast on World Malaria Day–Friday, April 25th. It’s only an hour, super informative, free, and everybody is invited. Hope to “see” you there.

The best thing I learned from the webcast was this: In 2005, about 80% of the medical cases seen by Compassion International in Africa were Malaria. As of last summer, it is now under 20%!
There are MANY orgnaizations out there helping to fight Malaria and it’s working! Let’s move that number closer and closer to zero!
